Education is the key to providing young children with the necessary tools to succeed. With our Education Program and the help of our child sponsors, we can help children receive a quality foundation of knowledge that will allow them to thrive beyond their community.

SIKLIGAR SIKHS
For years, SAF International has been working within Sikligar communities, helping to educate and uplift individuals that have been ignored and neglected by mainstream society. This cause is very near and dear to our hearts, because we know their story, their rich history, and the unimaginable hardships they have endured over the years.

GURMAT VIDHYA
Our Gurmat education programs educate young Sikhs about the history of Sikhism and introduces various Sikh principles into their lives. Our goal is to teach young Sikhs about their heritage, provide a sense of community, and present them with positive role models to steer them in a positive direction.

EMERGENCY RELIEF
During the Covid-19 pandemic, many communities in India were struggling to feed their families. We decided to take action and fundraise for one of the most impoverished communities in India- the Sikligar Sikhs. We were able to provide these families in need with over 12 tonnes of food.

According to World Bank Group, only 21% of the impoverished in India have access to washrooms and only 6% have running tap water. This lack of access to clean water creates many health risks. We provide families in need with water filtration systems so they can have access to clean water to drink and perform basic household tasks.

SHELTER
Many struggling families cannot afford a structurally sound home with basic utilities. The House Rebuild and Repair program aims to aid these families by creating a safe and functional home environment. The mission of this program is to give people in extreme poverty a safe and secure home that provides stability and allows them to live in dignity.
